A Guide to the KAMI TREE...
A guide to the Kami Tree...
A powerful force hums in the ether of Bamboo Valley - the Kami Spirits are awake! These celestial sprites grant power and guidance to those showing true dedication to the way of the warrior.
The Kami Tree brings infinite possibilities to customise your army and your Village! The Kami Tree also introduces an exclusive Kami XP system. Earning Kami XP while battling will unlock Skill Points. You can then spend these Skill Points on the three different celestial branches of the Kami Tree: Sun, Moon or Earth!
Please note that you need to spend a specific amount of points in one single branch to unlock new tier.
From 11/12/2019
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 2: 5 skill points
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 3: 10 skill points
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 4: 15 skill points
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 5: 30 skill points
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 6: 50 skill points (requirement was reduced from 55)
Amount of points spent in one branch to unlock Tier 7: 70 skill points (new tier)
We reserve the right to modify the skills available in the Kami Tree at any time in order to adjust and protect the game balance.
The SUN Branch
The EARTH Branch
The MOON Branch
Please note: Most perks only affect troops trainable in the dojo, both defensive and offensive Jade Lions and the Onyx Market Camps (common, uncommon and rare).
Komainu, Ifrith, Beetle Scroll, Rashomon and the Zen Tree Master are only affected by the Beastly Strenght, Molten Might, Beetle Shell, Hero Smash and Zen Strike perks respectively. Troops donated do not carry the perks with them, they'll inherit the perks of the player who receives them.

More Features
We have introduced Kami XP bonus, most commonly found in the Kami Idols. This bonus allows you to earn more Kami XP per battle. e.g. a Kami XP bonus of +100% means that the amount of Kami XP you do per battle is doubled.
Visiting a base shows how many skills point have been unlocked by that player. That information is not shown while searching for a battle, so make sure you know everything about your enemies first!
During combat, an additional little Kami icon on the troop deploy images shows what troops are being buffed by a perk. The Onis below have a Kami perk applied to them!
FAQ
Q: Will the tree be a permanent building?
A: Yes, The Kami Tree is a permanent building!
Q: Will I be able to upgrade my Kami Tree?
A: Yes - The Kami Tree comes several levels to unlock its full power.
Q: How can I get the Kami Tree?
A: Open your build menu, then go to the Army menu, you will find the Kami Tree there.
Q: Will I eventually be able to max out every single skill on the Kami Tree?
A: No, the total amount of points you can get is lower than the total amount of points you need to unlock all skill. You will have to make decisions about which skills you want to unlock first.
Q: Will all the skills be active at the same time or do I have to choose which one I want to activate before a battle?
A: Once you unlock a skill it remains active alongside the skills you’ve previously unlocked, you don’t have to activate it before battling.
Also, a Skill becomes active immediately you have spent a point in it. Spend 5 points to buff your Oni speed, and the next battle you fight, your Oni will run wild.
Q: Skills can be unlocked using Skill Points but how do I get Skill Points?
A: From the moment you build your Kami Tree, you can earn Kami XP from multiplayer battles. Being a higher castle level provides you with more Kami XP per battle, and taking down higher castle levels also provides you with more Kami XP per battle. For maximum Kami XP gain, you want to be a castle level 12 fighting another castle level 12 with 100% destruction.
As you earn Kami XP, you’ll pass Kami Skill milestones that will grant you an additional Kami Skill Point. The more Skill Points you have, the more you will need to battle to unlock the next one.
Q: Is the Kami XP somehow linked to my XP level?
A: No - Kami XP and Skill Points are not linked to your player level and player XP.
Q: Is the Kami XP you get affected by the Castle Level and the 1, 2 or 3 stars victory?
A: Yes and No - Kami XP is affected by castle level (see table above) and by the percentage of destruction achieved in the opposing village. 100% damage will give the maximum points available. 90% damage inflicted will give 90% of the points available.
Q: Can I get skills in every branch or does getting a skill in one branch block the other branches?
A: You can choose which branch(es) you want to spend your Skill Points in. You can unlock Skills from all 3 branches.
Q: What if I spend one Skill Point on a skill and then realise I don’t want this skill anymore?
A: If you want to change the way you have spent your Skill Points, you can reset your Tree for a small diamond cost and get all your Skill Points reimbursed. You can then spend them again the way you want to.
Q: If I battle against a player who has unlocked Kami Tree Skills, will I be able to see it?
A: You will see the Kami Tree in his Village. The Kami Tree comes with 5 visual graphics upgrades, which will tell you how many Skill Points that player has unlocked.
Q: How do alliance perks and Kami perks stack up?
A: Alliance perks are applied after the Kami Tree perks - for example
If you had a troop that dealt 100 damage, a kami perk that granted +10% damage, and an alliance perk that gave +10% damage, you would deal:
Base Damage = 100
Damage after Kami Tree perk = Base Damage x 1.1 = 110
Damage after Alliance perk = Kami Damage x 1.1 = 121
So final damage = 121
Q: Are the Wall related perks additive?
A: Yes, they are additive. If you acquire Tier 1 to 3 ‘Reinforced Walls’, your walls will have 35% more health!
Q: What perks are applied to alliance troop donations?
A: Donated troops you receive will have your own active perks applied to them, troops you donate to a fellow Alliance member will have their active perks (if any) applied. For example -
Player A with a level 5 ‘Elemental Reaction’ perk (+15% FD attack speed) donates Fire Demons to Player B. Player B does not have the ‘Elemental Reaction’ perk. When player B is using these donated troops, he will not have the ‘Elemental Reaction’ perk applied, his Fire Demons will not attack 15% faster.
